maybe it’s working with young people every day but i guess i love seeing the potential within young people. for those i work with every week, i try to help them to fulfill the talent they have.

and i guess it’s no different when it comes to football. i love watching young footballers come through the ranks and see them become big stars in the game. so i’ve put together a wee list of 5 footballers who i believe are destined for bigger things in the game….all at different levels perhaps.

here goes!!

Jack Wilshere – so we’re all starting to hear about him as he’s now broken into the Arsenal team and England squad. Truly believe he is destined for stardom on a world level. The technical ability and vision he possesses at such a young age is frightening and he is the creative genius England have been lacking. He will be running England’s midfield at the European Championships and if he steers clear of injury he is a potential world player of the year.

Josh McEachran – A 17 year old on the verge of breakthrough at Chelsea. Actually very similar to Wilshere – small, slight, technical, left footed and great passing ability. Still alot to learn but a definite future England international and could be a first team player by the end of the season.

Matt Jarvis – Has been playing with Wolves the last few seasons and gaining some Premier League experience. Think he is a genuinely good winger and should get a move to a bigger club soon. Has caused many bigger teams problems and looks a real handful at times. Needs to find consistency though.

Oliver Norwood – A teenager in the youth ranks at Manchester United. Not as advanced as Wilshere or McEachran so may take him a while to break through at Old Trafford. In fact, he may become a regular at International level for Northern Ireland before that happens. It’s tough for a central midfielder to break through so he may have to seek another club to progress through the ranks. But he has an incredible dead ball abiliity that is almost Beckham-esque and is a cultured player. Expecting big things from him.

Martin Kelly – Getting a few games at full back for Liverpool as a full back , but it seems like he’s more equipped as a centre back. Long term replacement for Carragher and with more game time could become a really solid player. Again a potential international.
