“There is a huge difference between critical thinking and thinkers who are critical. The first solves problems the latter causes problems.”

Erwin McManus tweeted this earlier this week and it really caught me. Sometimes I find cynicism all to easily. It’s almost cool to be critical. Like we hold all the answers from our viewpoint.

Yes there is a place for critical thinking. A word in season or a voice from a different angle. Yet I don’t want to be destructive with words. Tearing down rather than building up.

So I’m challenged to not let cynicism or criticism to take over. But allow my conversation to be problem solving.
