One of my passions is to help young people discover and encounter God through the pages of the Bible. So recently I wrote this aiming to challenge each of us about our attitude towards God’s word. Have a read…

the world is flooded with them
every house has one
in fact, almost every person owns one
some people use it several times a day, others aren’t as frequent
it comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes
there are lots of different types, makes and colours
some use theirs in a quiet, private space, others take theirs out in public – in the park, on a bus or at starbucks
it’s not just an object but a communication device
it’s an amazing way of hearing someone else speak directly to you

what am i talking about?….

…the mobile phone

mobile-phone

we use it every day don’t we?
you couldn’t leave the house without it, could you?
we feel incomplete without it
we feel the need to glance at it every 15 minutes just in case someone’s texted
we talk about our phones, even show them off to each other
we use it when we travel and when we’re alone

we feel incomplete without it…yeah?
maybe it’s just me but I’m not sure we show our bibles off to each other
so do we feel the need to glance at it every 15 minutes to grab a message for our lives?
do we use it when we travel and when we’re alone?

so what’s your attitude to this amazing book?
