I spoke a few weeks ago at a youth event about how we as people who have had ‘impacted hearts’ should really get busy ‘impacting lives’. We were thinking of how we can have a heart for the poor, the oppressed and the marginalised in our world…and more importantly, of how we can make such a huge difference in such easy ways!!

And then we went on to do it right there and then as I laid the challenge for these young people to make a difference in the world before they even left the room. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how they would respond…but it was incredible! Here’s the difference they made

:: A Guatemalan street child will now have a safe and comfortable place to stay for one week
:: An older Guatamalan street child will learn a skill so they can build a life in Guatemala
:: A child with Aids is now being supported in the Maoni Orphanage in Malawi
:: A scared, malnourished Guatemalan street child or baby will now have a loving home
:: They helped support a high risk family in Central America
:: Provided schooling for the poorest of the poor in Guatemala
:: Provided medical-care for a street child
:: They helped to house and educate Christian children at risk from Colombia’s terror group
:: 33 signatures on the Stop the Traffik Petition
:: 2 letters written to persecuted prisoners

Wow!! Thanks so much for everyone’s contributions, sacrifices and efforts. It’s amazing how God can use our small, tiny, almost insignificant offerings and use it to bless others in huge ways!

May God help us to live this out through your lives and give us a heart for the things God has a heart for!

“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” – Jesus
